When you purchase or use BaptismPrep, we may collect the following information: your name and email address (provided during purchase or account creation), payment information (processed securely by Stripe -- we do not store your full card number), course progress data (module completions, quiz attempts, and scores), certificate details (your full name as entered for your certificate, issuance date, and verification code), and basic device and browser information collected automatically when you visit the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your payment and deliver course access via email
  • Create and manage your account
  • Track your course progress and quiz results so you can resume where you left off
  • Generate and verify your completion certificate
  • Send transactional emails including purchase confirmations, access codes, and support responses
  • Improve the site experience through anonymized usage analytics

Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited number of third-party services to operate BaptismPrep. Stripe processes all payments and may collect information in accordance with its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Supabase provides our database and authentication infrastructure (supabase.com/privacy). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and Analytics

BaptismPrep uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We may also use basic analytics to understand how the site is used, such as page views and general traffic patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Data Retention

We retain your account information, course progress, and certificate records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as payment transaction records).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Data is transmitted using industry-standard TLS encryption. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also request a copy of your data or ask us to restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@baptismprep.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

BaptismPrep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of BaptismPrep after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
